Exercise should be a mild stressor to your cells that helps them improve function and not degrade it. HIIT combined with low intensity cardio can save your mitochondria and your stem cells. This information is counter intuitive but the data is already mounting that our biochemistry is not suited for intense long distance endurance work/cardio.
